A Nigerian man has reportedly faced consequences for staging his own kidnapping in an attempt to demand a ransom of just ₦20,000.

 

The incident came to light through a video shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by user @Akinjoshua2017.

 

The individual who recorded the video added a mocking caption that read, “You kidnap yourself and request ₦20k ransom. A very promising kidnapper.”

 

The clip quickly went viral, sparking widespread reactions and amusement among users who flooded the comment section with jokes and opinions.

 

User @gbolahann01_ commented: “Hunger wan finish am.”
