Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, revealed during the ongoing Holy Ghost Congress in Ogun State that if the rapture does not occur soon, he believes that he will pass away on a Sunday following a meal of pounded yam, just like one of his uncles did after attending a church service. Reflecting on his uncle’s passing, Adeboye shared that his uncle had been at home after the church service, showing no signs of illness, when he suddenly passed away in the restroom while his wife was preparing a meal.
The pastor emphasized the suddenness of his uncle’s departure, explaining that after his wife finished pounding the yam and went to inform him about the meal, they discovered that he had peacefully passed away in the restroom without experiencing any discomfort or pain.
Adeboye also addressed the idea that being free of sickness does not prevent one from journeying to heaven, emphasizing that good health is not a prerequisite for entering heaven. He humorously mentioned that if the Lord delays His coming, he imagines departing on a Sunday after enjoying a satisfying meal of pounded yam
