Nigerian music icon, Wizkid, also known as Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, recently opened up about his deep emotional struggle following the passing of his mother, Dolapo Balogun.
He tragically lost his mother during a European tour for his album ‘More Love Less Ego’ in August 2023. Since her passing, Wizkid has shared his feelings on social media, describing the profound void her absence has created in his life.
On his Instagram page, Wizkid shared a heartfelt message, expressing the profound emptiness he’s been experiencing without his mother. He highlighted the importance of relying on one’s faith during difficult times, encouraging his followers to entrust themselves to God’s guidance amid the pain. He wrote, “Life has felt meaningless since I lost my mum. But we’re persevering. Sometimes, you just have to let go and rely on God.”
