Popular TikTok creator Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has announced that he has gained admission to study law at a private university in Lagos State.
In a video that quickly gained attention online, the social media personality shared his excitement about the development and addressed critics who had previously questioned his educational background. The clip showed him walking into a building with a statue of justice at the entrance, symbolising his new academic journey.
Peller revealed that he has enrolled in a private university in Lagos but chose not to disclose the institution’s name. He described the admission as a turning point and suggested it would change how people perceive him.
He also spoke directly to those who had mocked him for not having a university education, saying he is now a law student and better equipped to understand legal matters.
Over the years, Peller has faced criticism online, with some social media users describing him as uneducated. Earlier this month, he had publicly expressed his intention to return to school, partly to improve his spoken English.
The content creator has also been in the news recently due to controversy surrounding the visit of American streamer IShowSpeed to Nigeria. Peller attempted to meet and collaborate with the streamer but was reportedly blocked by security personnel despite several attempts to approach him.
He later tried to get IShowSpeed’s attention by riding a horse and calling out to him, but his efforts appeared unsuccessful. After the incident, Peller accused the streamer’s security team of requesting money before allowing him access.
With his new academic pursuit, Peller says he is focused on personal development and proving critics wrong as he transitions from social media fame to legal studies.
