Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has called on residents to put the divisions of the recent governorship election behind them and work together towards the development of the state.
Drivetvnews gathered that Adeleke made the appeal while reacting to his re-election, expressing gratitude to the people of Osun for giving him another mandate.
The governor described the victory as a collective achievement and said he accepted the renewed opportunity to serve with humility and a strong sense of responsibility.
He also remembered residents who lost their lives in electoral violence ahead of the election, extending his condolences to their families and loved ones.
Adeleke thanked traditional rulers, religious leaders, community leaders, civil servants, pensioners, youths, women, artisans, traders, farmers and other groups across the state for their support.
He urged residents to move beyond the political contest and focus on rebuilding trust, strengthening unity and creating a better future for Osun.
The governor stressed the importance of healing after the election, calling on citizens to work together regardless of their political differences.
Adeleke said the next phase should be about collective development and ensuring that the state continues to progress.
