Popular UK-based Nigerian pastor and SPAC Nation leader, Tobi Adegboyega, has disclosed that he spends at least £300,000 daily on bills and other financial obligations.
Drivetvnews gathered that Adegboyega made the claim during a livestream with streamer Davrel, who asked him about his approximate daily and monthly expenses.
According to the pastor, his daily spending includes about £14,000 on food, as well as financial support for African countries.
> “To be honest, nothing less than £300,000. We spend £14,000 daily on food, and I have an obligation to give African countries £5,000 every day,” he said.
At the reported rate of roughly £1 = ₦1,835, £300,000 would be about ₦550.5 million per day, meaning the headline figure of ₦551 million is actually a daily, not monthly, equivalent. If sustained for 30 days, that would amount to approximately ₦16.5 billion.
Adegboyega also responded to criticism that SPAC Nation operates like a cult. He argued that the organisation’s unity and the financial success of its young members had contributed to the perception.
He said critics were accustomed to churches where pastors were wealthy while members remained poor, adding that he no longer gets angry when SPAC Nation is described as a cult.
The pastor’s latest comments have renewed public discussion about his lifestyle, the finances of religious organisations and wealth distribution among church leaders and their members.
