The bank advised Nigerians to avoid clicking on suspicious links or sharing personal and financial details on unverified websites. It stressed that all official information should only be confirmed through its recognised channels, particularly its official website and trusted media outlets.
The apex bank also encouraged members of the public to report any suspicious messages, emails, or websites to law enforcement agencies for proper investigation.
