In a condolence message issued on Wednesday, he extended sympathies to the victims and residents, wishing them peace and comfort during this sorrowful time.Sanwo-Olu commiserated with Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and the state government for the tragic incident, which claimed two lives and left 77 people injured. He praised Makinde’s swift response, acknowledging the prompt deployment of first responders, earth-moving equipment, ambulances, emergency lights, and security for search and rescue operations.Expressing sadness over the explosion allegedly caused by illegal miners storing explosive devices in Bodija, Ibadan, Sanwo-Olu emphasized the need for caution and lawful activities to prevent such tragedies. On behalf of the people of Lagos State, he conveyed heartfelt sympathy to the victims’ families and the entire Oyo State community, assuring Governor Makinde of their support during this difficult time.
