A 37-year-old honey seller identified as Isah Usman has been arrested by the Niger State Police Command over allegations of sexually assaulting three teenage boys in Minna.
The suspect, said to be a resident of the Angwan Biri area, was accused of repeatedly abusing the boys, aged 13, 14 and 15, inside his room.
According to reports, the incidents occurred on several occasions before the matter was reported to the police on April 23, 2026.
Investigators alleged that Usman usually threatened the victims to keep silent after the acts, while also giving them N500 each and honey as inducement.
The victims were later taken to the Police Clinic in Minna for medical examination, where findings reportedly confirmed the allegations.
Police spokesperson, Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the arrest in a statement, noting that the suspect had confessed during interrogation.
He stated that the case had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Minna for further investigation and prosecution.
Abiodun added that the suspect would be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.
