Veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri broke down in tears during the burial of his longtime colleague and close friend, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.
Ogogo was laid to rest according to Islamic rites in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State, on Monday.
The veteran actor died on Sunday at the age of 66 after battling Stage 4 cancer.
Family members, friends and colleagues attended the burial ceremony to pay their final respects to the respected Yoruba actor.
In a heartbreaking video from the ceremony, Quadri was seen in tears as he arrived at the burial venue, visibly overwhelmed by the loss of his longtime friend.
Quadri and Ogogo shared a close relationship and were prominent figures in the Yoruba film industry for several decades.
Other Nollywood personalities who attended the burial included Jide Kosoko, Fausat Balogun, Faithia Williams and Kolawole Ajeyemi, among others.
The death of Ogogo has continued to generate tributes from colleagues, political leaders and fans across Nigeria, with many describing his passing as a major loss to the country’s creative industry.
