The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system allowing candidates sitting for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to verify and upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes.
The new service currently supports results issued by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), reducing the need for candidates to repeatedly visit Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres to complete the process.
Under the new arrangement, candidates can use JAMB’s e-Facility platform to verify their results after obtaining a verification code.
JAMB will subsequently authenticate the result with the relevant examination body before uploading the verified information directly to the candidate’s profile.
To access the service, candidates are required to provide their National Identification Number (NIN), obtain a verification code and make the necessary payment.
Candidates can also use the SMS option by sending “VERIFY” followed by the verification code to 55019 or 66019.
According to JAMB, the technology-driven initiative is designed to make the verification and upload process faster, safer and more convenient, particularly during periods when CBT centres experience heavy traffic.
The Board added that the system would help reduce long queues at CBT centres, minimise errors associated with manual data entry and address some of the network-related difficulties candidates often encounter at examination centres.
JAMB is also expected to extend the direct verification service to O’Level results issued by other examination bodies.
