Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, also known as Jandor, the 2023 gubernatorial candidate representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, has expressed his deep concern regarding the tragic passing of the talented musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely recognized as Mohbad. The shocking news of the 27-year-old artist’s demise on September 12 left music enthusiasts in mourning.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by Mr. Gbenga Ogunleye, who serves as the Head of Media and Communications for the JANDOR4GOVERNOR Campaign Organisation, Adediran emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death. He referred to the situation as “very unfortunate” and called attention to the cloud of secrecy and suspicions of foul play that surround the singer’s demise.

Adediran voiced his concerns, stating, “Mohbad’s death, announced on Sept. 12, is shrouded in secrecy and foul play, with widespread allegations implicating certain influential figures within the music industry.” He stressed the importance of law enforcement agencies uncovering the truth and ensuring that justice prevails through a comprehensive investigation.

Furthermore, Adediran highlighted the negative impact of this tragic incident on the entertainment industry in Nigeria. He lamented the loss of such a promising talent and the anxiety that has gripped music enthusiasts due to perceived dangers and unethical practices within the entertainment sector. He concluded by stating that this unfortunate incident represents a significant setback for the nation’s music industry.
