The Lagos State Police Command has provided updates regarding the recent shooting incident involving Toheeb Eniafe at a petrol station. According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the State Police Public Relations Officer, the officer responsible for the shooting has been identified as a member of the Special Protection Unit (SPU) stationed at Base 17, Lion Building, Lagos.

This revelation comes as a part of the ongoing investigation into the incident. The Command is committed to uncovering all relevant details surrounding the case, and further findings will be shared as they become available.

In light of this unfortunate event, the Lagos State Police Command is actively engaging with the family of the deceased. They are working collaboratively to ensure that there is no miscarriage of justice and that the matter is handled appropriately.

The shooting took place at a petrol station owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, located in Obalende, Ikoyi, Lagos State. Eniafe tragically lost his life during an altercation when he and others resisted attempts by security agents to bypass the fuel queue.

The incident has sparked outrage and raised questions about the conduct of law enforcement officers and the need for accountability within the police force. It underscores the importance of thorough investigations and the fair administration of justice to uphold the rights and safety of all citizens.
