Kenneth Okonkwo, a prominent member of the Labour Party (LP), has insisted that President Bola Tinubu should face similar consequences as Mmesoma Ejikeme, who manipulated her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result to achieve the highest score. This statement comes after Caleb Westberg, the university registrar and witness from Chicago State University, stated during a deposition that he could not verify the certificate Tinubu presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the 2023 general election. Okonkwo emphasized that dismissing the controversy surrounding Tinubu’s credentials after CSU’s disavowal is morally questionable, comparing it to the case of Mmesoma Ejikeme, who faced penalties for forgery.
