Concern Grows as Young Woman Goes Missing in Lagos After Sending Alarming Message About Entering Wrong Vehicle
A Nigerian man, Mayor Johnson, has raised the alarm over the disappearance of his sister, Esther, who has been missing since Thursday, April 24, 2025.
Johnson explained that Esther had left home that day for Ajah, where she planned to stay with a family friend while preparing for her upcoming JAMB examination. However, she vanished while traveling from Ajah to Epe and has not been seen or heard from since.
According to Johnson, Esther managed to send a troubling message to another sibling before her disappearance. In the message, she mentioned feeling scared, drowsy, and experiencing itchy eyes, expressing concern that she may have entered the wrong vehicle.
“It’s been nearly 24 hours since we last heard from my sister,” Johnson shared online. “She was heading to Epe from Ajah around 1 p.m. on Thursday for her JAMB exam scheduled for this morning. The last message she sent said, ‘I’m scared, I think I entered the wrong car. My eyes are itchy, it feels like I’m about to sleep.’”
The family continues to search for Esther and is urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.
