Chinedu Faithful Nwagbuo, a 200-level student at Abia State University, Uturu, has been hospitalized in Umuahia after being scalded with hot water by another female student.
The incident reportedly occurred during a confrontation between Nwagbuo and a 100-level student, resulting in burns to the upper part of her body. Specific details surrounding the altercation have not yet been disclosed.
Authorities have taken the suspect into custody to aid the ongoing investigation. Meanwhile, classmates and family members have been visiting Nwagbuo at the hospital as she receives treatment.
As of now, Abia State University has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
