The Oyo State Police Command has arrested two men suspected of dealing in illicit drugs in Ibadan.
Police authorities also recovered eight parcels of a substance suspected to be Canadian Loud during the operation.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, on Saturday.
According to Ayanlade, the suspected substance was concealed inside a car tyre, with the assistance of a vulcaniser.
He said police operatives acted on a directive and proceeded to a shop where the two suspects were arrested. The eight parcels were subsequently recovered, while a vulcanising machine allegedly used to conceal the substance was also taken as an exhibit.
The police spokesperson added that the suspects allegedly confessed to their involvement during interrogation and were assisting investigators with the ongoing probe.
Ayanlade said the suspects would be charged to court after the completion of the investigation.
