Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has been honoured as a Christian Youth Peace Ambassador by the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria.
Drivetvnews gathered that the recognition was presented on Friday during the National Christian Youth Security Summit and Thanksgiving held in Abuja.
The youth organisation cited Seyi Tinubu’s contributions to peacebuilding, youth empowerment and the promotion of national unity.
Seyi Tinubu was absent from the event, with former YOWICAN National Chairman and President, Belusochukwu Enwere, receiving the award on his behalf.
In his message of appreciation, Tinubu said the recognition came with a responsibility to support initiatives that empower young Nigerians, promote peaceful coexistence and strengthen national unity.
He described peace as more than simply the absence of conflict, saying it also involves justice, compassion, tolerance and mutual respect.
Tinubu commended YOWICAN for encouraging Christian youths to embrace responsible leadership and contribute positively to their communities.
He also urged young Nigerians to regard Nigeria’s religious, ethnic and cultural diversity as a strength rather than a reason for division.
The President’s son pledged continued support for programmes aimed at youth development and peaceful coexistence across the country.
The summit, which focused on security, leadership and nation-building, brought together Christian youth leaders and other stakeholders in Abuja and ran from September 3 to 5, 2026.
