Nigerian Football Star Asisat Oshoala Honors Late Musician Mohbad with Goal Celebration
Nigeria’s Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala, ended her goal drought with a remarkable performance, scoring two goals in FC Barcelona’s 6-1 victory over Granada in a Spanish La Liga women’s league game. During her goal celebration, Oshoala raised her jersey to reveal a shirt bearing the picture of the late Nigerian music sensation, Mohbad. Mohbad, known for his hit songs like “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” and “Feel Good,” tragically passed away at the age of 27 in September 2023. Oshoala paid tribute to the late musician with her goals and shared the moment on her Instagram page, writing: “Double for Imole ⚽️⚽️ …..keep resting young king 🙏🏾❤️ #LightBoy.” FC Barcelona’s women’s team remains unbeaten, securing six wins in six games and leading the league table with 18 points, three points ahead of Real Madrid.
