Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi is celebrating a major milestone as her latest movie, Alakada: Bad and Boujee, has achieved an impressive ₦460 million at the box office.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, she expressed gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support and encouraged them to continue watching the film.

“The journey to surpass my previous record began immediately after we wrapped up production on Alakada,” she shared, emphasizing her dedication to continuous growth.

“Achieving success at the box office was my goal, but surpassing my last record and nearly doubling it makes this achievement even more rewarding.”

With this accomplishment, Abraham has exceeded expectations, cementing Alakada: Bad and Boujee as one of Nollywood’s most successful films in recent times.

Her announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans and industry colleagues, who praised her talent, dedication, and ability to attract audiences to cinemas.

Fellow Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo joined in the celebration, commenting, “Oshey half a billion.” One enthusiastic fan predicted, “₦500M and beyond is just around the corner!”

Abraham, known for her lively personality and passion for filmmaking, was overjoyed by the film’s success.

Addressing her devoted fanbase, the Toyin Titans, she excitedly said, “To everyone who has watched this film, thank you! Let’s see it again, and if you haven’t yet, Alakada is still showing in cinemas nationwide!”

The excitement spread across social media, with fans flooding her post with heartfelt messages and celebratory emojis. One supporter wrote, “Oluwanikanlotoyin! Congratulations, T!” while another joyfully exclaimed, “Mummy Ire, this is incredible!”—a reference to Abraham’s affectionate nickname inspired by her son, Ire.

As she inches closer to the ₦500 million mark, Toyin Abraham continues to solidify her influence in Nollywood.
