Actress Iyabo Ojo has expressed regret over her involvement in advocating for the exhumation of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Speaking with Seun Oloketuyi, she admitted that she wished she had not supported the decision to exhume his body.

“As a mother, I reacted emotionally because the situation was overwhelming at the time. I deeply regret pushing for his exhumation. To this day, he has not been reburied. Seeing the video showing his broken neck in the casket pushed me to speak out, but looking back, I wish I hadn’t,” she said.

Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried the next day. However, following public outcry for justice, the Lagos State Police exhumed his body on September 21, 2023, for an autopsy.

In October 2023, his father, Joseph Aloba, stated that Mohbad would not be reburied until a DNA test was conducted on his son, Liam. As a result, his reburial remains on hold.
