Police investigate sudden death of Bidemi Omole in boyfriend’s house in Esa-Oke, Osun State, as autopsy is planned to determine the cause.

The Osun State Police Command has begun investigating the mysterious death of a young woman, identified as Bidemi Omole, who died shortly after arriving at her boyfriend’s residence in Esa-Oke, Osun State.

According to local sources, Bidemi visited her boyfriend, identified only as Yinka, on Friday evening but suddenly became ill and passed away around 9:30 pm.

A resident of the area, Taye, reported that distress calls were heard from Yinka’s house, drawing neighbors and security personnel to the scene. However, by the time help arrived, Bidemi had already died.

“She normally attends a Friday night vigil, so many people were shocked by the sudden news of her death,” Taye said, adding that the incident caused panic in the neighborhood.

Police spokesperson Abiodun Ojelabi confirmed the case on Sunday, stating that it had been officially reported to the command on Saturday.

“The deceased reportedly started vomiting after arriving at her boyfriend’s home and was being taken to the hospital when she died,” Ojelabi explained.

He further revealed that Yinka had been taken into custody for questioning, and an autopsy would be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
