Nigerian music star Olamide has shared how unsettling experiences during live performances have affected his confidence on stage, admitting that he still feels nervous each time he performs.
Speaking in an interview with YouTuber Korty EO, the rapper explained that unexpected incidents during shows—such as fans rushing him or grabbing personal items—have left a lasting impression on him. According to him, these moments can be unpredictable and sometimes frightening, making it difficult to feel completely at ease while performing.
He noted that situations like someone suddenly pulling his chain or hat mid-performance have happened more than once, contributing to his anxiety before stepping on stage. Despite his years of experience, he said those memories still influence how he approaches live shows.
Meanwhile, fellow Nigerian artist Asake has addressed speculation about a possible fallout between him and Olamide. The singer clarified that his respect and loyalty to his former label boss remain intact.
Rumors of tension between the two began after Asake removed YBNL from his social media profile and unfollowed Olamide, sparking widespread reactions among fans. However, he dismissed the claims, emphasizing that there is no conflict between them.
Asake, who has since launched his own record label, stated that his career move was independent of any personal issues, reaffirming that his relationship with Olamide remains solid.
