The African Action Congress (AAC), Ondo State Chapter, has announced the death of its candidate for the Ondo State House of Assembly, Comrade Ojajuni Justice.
Drivetvnews gathered that the party announced his death in a tribute dated August 15, 2026, describing him as a committed activist, fearless advocate for the oppressed and a “soldier of the people.”
The AAC said his death was a major loss to the party and the wider progressive movement in Ondo State and beyond.
According to the party, Ojajuni was more than a political candidate, as he was deeply committed to the ideals of justice, equality and the protection of citizens’ rights.
The party said his decision to contest under the AAC platform reflected his belief in a “New Nigeria” built on justice, equity and the defence of the rights of ordinary citizens.
The AAC also recalled his activities during the election campaign, particularly his grassroots engagements and alleged refusal to compromise his principles for political convenience.
It described him as a comrade who consistently placed collective interests above personal gain and advocated for people who were unable to speak for themselves.
The party said his death amid ongoing political struggles was a devastating blow to the progressive movement in Ondo State.
The AAC extended its condolences to Ojajuni’s family, friends and political associates, describing him as “a true comrade, a brother-in-arms, and a beacon of hope” for a generation seeking genuine leadership.
The party urged its members across Ondo State and Nigeria to remain committed to the causes Ojajuni supported and ensure that his efforts were not forgotten.
It said the best way to honour him was to remain steadfast and continue pursuing the ideals of political and social change for which he stood.
The AAC concluded its tribute by declaring that Ojajuni would remain part of the party’s history, saying: “You fought the good fight. You stood for the people.”
“Rest in power, Comrade,” the party added, ending with the slogans: “Aluta continua! Victoria ascerta!”
