Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has expressed his frustration after a recent encounter with Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate and former Governor of Anambra State.
The artist met Obi in Benin City, Edo State, where they briefly greeted each other. A video from their meeting has circulated widely, showcasing Portable’s dissatisfaction with Obi for not offering any financial assistance during their interaction.
In his typical direct manner, Portable compared Obi unfavorably to President Bola Tinubu, claiming that Tinubu would have provided support had they met. In the video, Portable commented, “Obi cannot give us anything. Obi didn’t give us anything. If it was Tinubu we met, he would have given us something. Let’s go.”
