Fuji musician Taye Currency has publicly apologized to his senior colleague, Pasuma, following remarks he made that sparked controversy. During a recent performance, Taye had objected to fans referring to Pasuma as his “father” in the entertainment industry, clarifying that Pasuma was more like an older brother to him. This statement led to a backlash on social media.

In response to the criticism, Taye Currency released a video where he expressed regret for any offense his words may have caused. He explained that his comments had been misunderstood, and he never intended to disrespect Pasuma.

In the video, Taye Currency acknowledged Pasuma as his superior and elder, saying, “I greet everyone, especially Pasuma’s fans and Fuji music lovers. My words were taken the wrong way, and I apologize to anyone who was hurt by the misunderstanding. Pasuma is my boss and mentor, and I never meant to insult him.”

He continued, “Some people interpreted my comments as disrespectful, but that was not my intention. Pasuma is my leader—Arabanbi, Apesin, Oganla Fuji. We are united, and I urge everyone not to create division between us.”

Taye Currency concluded his apology by reaffirming his loyalty to Pasuma and asking for forgiveness from Pasuma and his fans. He added, “Pasuma, you are my elder. I’m sorry if my words seemed disrespectful. To his fans, I apologize. Let’s stay united.”
