Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has publicly recounted her journey of overcoming smoking, alcohol addiction, masturbation, and long-standing anger issues during a Sunday service at Streams of Joy International Church.

In a video shared by DCLImagery on YouTube, Dikeh spoke at the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations service, led by Pastor Jerry Eze. She revealed that she began smoking at age 13 and struggled with alcohol and other personal challenges for years, attributing her transformation to divine intervention.

“I smoked since I was 13. God also healed me from masturbation. I had experiences with sexual activity in dreams since childhood,” Dikeh said, describing her appearance at the altar as an act of both testimony and thanksgiving, despite concerns about public perception.

She explained that after attending the Ghana Prayer Conference, she experienced a significant spiritual breakthrough, which she credited with freeing her from what she described as years of spiritual oppression.

“I realised the forces that held me captive for years in my dreams had gone,” she stated, adding that the event marked a turning point in her spiritual journey.

Dikeh also opened up about her struggle with “demonic anger,” which had negatively impacted her relationships and personal life. “An anger that destroyed my life. Everyone around me had to feel it. But through prayer, God removed it and granted me peace,” she said.

At 40 years old, the actress shared that she had never truly experienced peace until now. She further attributed her smoking habit to early exposure at home, urging parents to be mindful of the habits they model for their children.

“I started smoking because my father smoked. Even small habits can influence children,” she said. Dikeh added that after seeking divine assistance, her cravings for cigarettes and alcohol have ceased entirely.

Pastor Jerry Eze prayed for the actress during the service, declaring that “the body of sin is broken” and recognizing her as “a voice for her generation.” Dikeh also shared photos from the event on Instagram, captioning them: “A living testimony of mercy. One God spared, restored, and commissioned.”

In recent months, Tonto Dikeh has been open about her renewed Christian faith, emphasizing her commitment to a life of peace, restoration, and dedicated service to God.
