The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, known as So-Safe Corps, has successfully rescued ten individuals who were allegedly deceived with false job offers and later confined in a building within the state.

The victims, comprising seven men and three women, were identified as Frank Adjei (45), Emmanuel Agyapong (50), Adam Zakari (33), Benjamin Etuah (20), Asamoah Kwaku (53), Yusuf Kasim (27), Ogunle Damola (32), Gift Dzakpasu (21), Susana Ampons (35), and Anita Otaibu.

According to credible intelligence received by the Corps, one of the victims, Anita Otaibu, had been enticed to Nigeria with a job promise. However, upon her arrival, she and others were reportedly detained in a three-bedroom apartment located in the Oke-Sioni area of Mowe, near the Comfort Zone Hotel in the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.

The victims were allegedly denied their freedom and prevented from making any contact with the outside world.

The incident was detailed in a statement issued on Sunday by the State Commander of the So-Safe Corps, Commander Soji Ganzallo, through the Director of Information and Public Relations, Moruf Yusuf.

“On April 19, 2025, the Corps received vital intelligence concerning the location of the victims,” the statement read. “Following this, the Owode-Egba Zonal Command, under the leadership of Assistant Commander of Corps Rasaki Jimoh, was swiftly mobilized.”

A joint operation was carried out the next day, April 20, at approximately 10:00 a.m., involving officers from the So-Safe Corps and the Nigeria Police Force, Redeemed Division. The team successfully raided the premises and freed the victims.

During the operation, a Nigerian man identified as the security guard of the property was also taken into custody.

Commander Ganzallo confirmed that all rescued individuals have been transferred to the police for further investigation and potential prosecution.
