Prominent activist and member of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Aisha Yesufu, has called on her supporters to remain focused on the 2027 presidential election and efforts to secure the victory of Peter Obi.

In a message shared on her X account on Thursday, Yesufu advised supporters to avoid distractions and concentrate solely on strategies that would help Obi emerge victorious and be sworn in as Nigeria’s next president.

She stressed that discussions unrelated to the 2027 presidential race should be ignored for now, noting that there would be time to address other issues after the general elections.

According to her, supporters should maintain a clear focus on the electoral objective and channel their energy toward achieving success at the polls.

Yesufu, a well-known ally of Obi, recently contested for the Federal Capital Territory senatorial ticket under the NDC but was unsuccessful in the party’s primary election.

Her latest remarks reaffirm her commitment to Obi’s political ambitions and signal an early push toward mobilising support ahead of the 2027 presidential contest.
