Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has dismissed reports claiming that she died, assuring her fans that she is alive, safe and was not involved in any accident.
Kadiri addressed the false reports on Sunday after messages claiming she had died began circulating on social media.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, the actress urged the public to disregard the reports and report accounts spreading the misinformation.
Kadiri expressed concern over the number of social media pages allegedly created to circulate the death rumour, describing the development as distressing and hurtful.
She appealed to her followers not to engage with such pages but instead report them to the relevant social media platforms.
The actress’ clarification comes amid the recurring spread of false death reports involving Nigerian entertainers and other public figures on social media.
