The Osun State Police Command has arrested two men in connection with an alleged burglary in which valuables worth about ₦3 million were reportedly stolen.
Drivetvnews gathered that the command said one of the suspects, 27-year-old Eyelade Anuoluwa, was arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State, following intelligence gathered by operatives of the Ilesa Area Command.
According to the police, Anuoluwa allegedly broke into a residence in Osun State on July 26, 2026, and stole two laptops, an iPhone 12, an Android phone, two power banks and recharge cards.
The suspect was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation, where police said he allegedly confessed to the offence.
Further questioning reportedly led investigators to the alleged receiver of some of the stolen items in Ibadan.
Police subsequently arrested 28-year-old Abdullah Musa, who allegedly admitted receiving stolen property and was being investigated for suspected involvement in a network dealing in stolen goods.
The command said Musa also admitted that he purchased an iPhone 12 from Anuoluwa for ₦25,000.
Several items were recovered during the operation, including HP and Dell laptops, a Samsung phone, an Apple iPad, two power banks, a charger and a scrap phone.
The Osun State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Zungura, commended the officers involved in the investigation and recovery operation.
The police said investigations were continuing to determine the full extent of the suspects’ alleged activities, identify other persons connected to the case and recover more stolen property.
The suspects are expected to be prosecuted after the completion of the investigation, according to the command.
