Dangote Cement Denies Price Reduction Amidst False Reports
Dangote Cement Plc. has dismissed online reports claiming a significant reduction in cement prices. The company clarified that its promotional factory price remains at N2,410 per bag, with an additional N300 charge for transportation and offloading to any location in Nigeria. Anthony Chiejina, Chief Branding and Communications Officer of the Dangote Group, labeled the reports as malicious and false. Dangote Cement urged customers to be cautious of scammers attempting to defraud them. The denial follows a recent announcement by BUA Group about reducing cement prices in Nigeria after discussions with President Bola Tinubu. BUA Cement plans to commission two new plants, increasing its total capacity to 17 million metric tons.
