Controversial Nigerian artist Portable has publicly urged crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, to reconsider his lifestyle and turn away from what he described as “sinful ways.” This statement follows the recent legal and personal challenges Bobrisky is facing.

Bobrisky, who was released from prison on August 5 after serving part of a six-month sentence that began on April 12 for defacing the Nigerian currency, the naira, is now dealing with fresh accusations.

According to Drivetvnews, the situation worsened when social media influencer Martin Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, allegedly shared an audio clip where Bobrisky claimed to have bribed officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with ₦15 million to have the charges against him dropped.

Bobrisky, a prominent transgender figure on social media, denied the bribery allegations, calling the audio fake and stating, “I served my time in prison.”

Following these accusations, the EFCC summoned both Bobrisky and Otse for questioning, with EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede launching a full investigation into the matter. In response, the Nigerian government suspended two officers from the Nigerian Correctional Service who were reportedly involved.

Adding to the controversy, rapper Falz supported part of Otse’s claims in a letter, where he alleged that Bobrisky had asked him for ₦3 million to pay prison officials for better treatment, a request Falz said he refused.

As Bobrisky grapples with these legal issues, he opened up about experiencing suicidal thoughts. However, he clarified that he was not looking for sympathy but wanted people to understand the struggles he is facing.

In response to the unfolding drama, Portable took to Instagram, advising Bobrisky to reject suicidal thoughts and instead seek forgiveness from God. He encouraged the crossdresser to repent, suggesting that this would lead to a more positive life.

Portable said, “Bobrisky, life is risky. God does not want sinners to die. Tell him to repent. Any sinner who does not repent is doomed. If you die without repentance, you’ll go to hell. Ask God for forgiveness. God does not wish for anyone to die in sin.”

He continued, “Help me tell Bobrisky to ask for forgiveness. If Bobrisky repents, he will enjoy life. But if he doesn’t, the consequences will follow.”
