Bishop T.D. Jakes, a prominent pastor, author, and founder of The Potter’s House megachurch, faced a health emergency shortly after delivering a stirring sermon on Sunday.

The incident happened following an extended message at the Dallas-based non-denominational church.

According to a statement shared on Facebook, church officials confirmed that Bishop Jakes received prompt medical attention and is now in stable condition, being cared for by medical professionals.

The statement said, “During today’s service, Bishop T.D. Jakes experienced a minor health issue and was immediately attended to after delivering his powerful hour-long sermon.

“Bishop Jakes is stable and receiving care from medical professionals. The Potter’s House family deeply appreciates the love, prayers, and support from the community. We thank you for your understanding and continued prayers.”

Established in 1996, The Potter’s House is one of the largest and most diverse megachurches in the United States, with a membership exceeding 30,000.

Widely recognized for its global reach, the church has consistently been regarded as one of the most influential religious organizations in the country.
