The foundation of former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, known as the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation, has extended a helping hand to the renowned Nollywood actor, John Okafor, fondly recognized as Mr. Ibu. This philanthropic initiative was undertaken as a response to Mr. Ibu’s recent health challenges, which have included significant medical expenses.

The foundation officially announced this support on its Facebook page, emphasizing its commitment to assisting individuals in need. In the statement, the foundation acknowledged Mr. Ibu’s long-standing contribution to the world of comedy and entertainment, where he has brought joy and laughter to countless households for more than four decades.

With a deep sense of responsibility to help alleviate Mr. Ibu’s medical financial burdens, the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation promptly covered the entirety of his medical expenses, confirming the payment on a Wednesday. This generous act was a testament to their commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those facing challenges.

The statement went on to encourage others who were capable to come forward and lend their support. Contributions, whether in the form of financial aid, moral encouragement, or prayers, were welcomed and considered valuable in Mr. Ibu’s journey towards recovery.

Mr. Ibu had earlier appealed for prayers amid his undisclosed illness, which had raised concerns of potential leg amputation. The swift response from the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation provides hope for his recovery and demonstrates the impact that acts of kindness and philanthropy can have on individuals in need.
